Curriculum vitae


Dr. Pagona G Gouletsou graduated from the School of Veterinary Medicine, Faculty of Health Sciences, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (SVM-AUTh), Greece, in 1997. In the same institution, she completed a seven-month internship (1998) in small animal surgery and reproduction. She was first employed in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Thessaly, as technical staff in 1998, and from 2004 to 2007 was member of a teaching staff. She had a PhD degree in obstetrics from the same faculty in 2005, and from 2007 she holds an academic position, currently Associate Professor. In 2014 she had a second PhD in surgery from the SVM-AUTh. Her main undergraduate courses are physiology and pathology of reproduction, andrology, surgery and diagnostics of the genital system. She has participated as supervisor, member of the advisory and/or evaluation committee of 8 PhD theses. She is associate Dean of the Faculty of Animal Science since 4/2019 and member of the senate of UTh as a representative of the Faculty of Animal Science. She has presented more than 52 oral communications and posters in international and national congresses and she is the author of more than 40 scientific papers published in peer-reviewed international journals. She has 606 citations of her articles, her H index is 15 and the impact factor of her papers is 108.5. She has served as a reviewer for more than 20 scientific journals. Her research interests include testis physiology, cytology and pathology, surgery of the genital system, surgery of the skin, wound healing, ultrasonography of the genital system.
