Katerina Manolakou graduated from the Agricultural University of Athens (1991) and obtained her PhD from the University of Montpellier II (1996). She worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the MRC Human Genetics Unit in Edinburgh UK (1997-2001). She was appointed scientific officer at the National Bioethics Commission in Greece (2001-2006). She joined the academic staff of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Thessaly, in 2006 and was seconded to the Ministry of Health where she served as a Deputy Manager at the NHS General Hospital of Laconia (2016-2020).\nShe has publications in peer-review journals (h index 7, Web of science), presentations in national and international conferences\/meetings and participation in collective volumes on bioethics.
