Eugenia Flouraki is an Associate Professor of Veterinary Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Thessaly. She also works as a freelance professional, providing anaesthesia and intensive care services to veterinary clinics and hospitals in the Attica region.<\/p>\n

She graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh) in 2005 and specialised in anaesthesiology and intensive care, completing a residency program at the European College of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia (ECVAA). She has received further training at the universities of Ghent, Hanover, and Utrecht, gaining experience in the anaesthesia of small animals, equines, and exotic species.<\/p>\n

Since 2008, she has been working as a freelance professional, collaborating with veterinary clinics and hospitals. In 2019, she was elected Assistant Professor, and in 2024, she was promoted to Associate Professor at the University of Thessaly, where she teaches veterinary students and trains postgraduate veterinarians.<\/p>\n

She has authored more than 20 scientific publications and has participated in over 50 presentations at national and international conferences. She has also contributed to the translation of scientific textbooks and has supervised the translation of a scientific book on pain management in small animals.<\/p>\n

She has successfully supervised one doctoral dissertation and is currently supervising two more. Additionally, she serves as a peer reviewer for 7 scientific journals and actively participates in research projects and conferences.<\/p>\n

She is a member of the Association of Veterinary Anaesthetists (AVA), the Hellenic Veterinary Association, the Hellenic Companion Animal Veterinary Society, and the Panhellenic Veterinary Association.<\/p>\n
