Dr\u00a0Nikolaos Solomakos graduated in 2001 from the Department of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Thessaly and completed his doctoral thesis with a scholarship at the Laboratory of Animal Food Hygiene in the same department, successfully finishing it in 2007. Since 2009, he has served as a faculty member in the Department of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Thessaly and is currently an Associate Professor.<\/span><\/p>\n

He has served as a scientific manager and research team member in national and European research programmes. He is a member of editorial boards and acts as a reviewer for scientific journals. He has published over 130 papers in scientific journals and conference proceedings. He currently supervises three doctoral theses and has supervised more than 20 master's theses, and has participated in over 50 three-member advisory committees for master's theses.
Since 2008, he has been teaching in the following Postgraduate Programmes at the University of Thessaly: \"Applied Public Health and Environmental Hygiene\" and \"Nutrition in Health and Disease\" in the Department of Medicine; \"Aquaculture \u2013 Pathological Problems of Farmed Aquatic Organisms\" in the Department of Veterinary Medicine; and \"Technology, Quality and Safety of Food of Animal Origin\" and \"Sustainable Management of the Aquatic Environment\" in the Department of Agriculture, Ichthyology and Aquatic Environment.<\/p>\n
