Welcome!
WAVES International has
the pleasure to invite you to the Vth International
Symposium on
Wild Fauna, hosted by WAVES Hellas, which will be held in Chalkidiki, 22nd
– 27th September 2007.
Our aim is to create
an interactive scientific event to foster the exchange of ideas between
wildlife biologists, veterinarians, conservationists and managers. The
three-day scientific programme will focus on the use of molecular tools
and
pathology in the monitoring strategies of wildlife infectious diseases,
the
role of wildlife as a reservoir for pathogens transmitted to domestic
animals
and humans, the conventional and surgical treatment of wildlife
diseases, aspects
of aerial, aquatic and terrestrial wildlife biology important for
designing
conservation actions and the interactions of modern societies with
wildlife
communities, with ultimate goal the protection of Mediterranean
biodiversity.
